Beautiful HAUNTED place. Accommodations were simple and very western. Management gave us the whole tour. Great history, nice town. Great people. Felt at home. Will definitely come stay again!
After living in Clayton for approximately 2o years, my husband and I moved away, still having family and great friends there, we took a road trip with new friends back to Clayton and stayed overnight at the Eklund. Jeanette and Keith were very kind and made us feel right at home. They gave our new friends a tour of the bar and the hotel. And I will have to say I believe I ate the best wild rice and chicken soup every there.nnThanks for the night stay.
Clean rooms and super friendly staff. Will definitely be staying here again when we come back this way.
Historic hotel for the experience of a lifetime. A trip to the past that is well worth a visit.
Wonderful old hotel. Room was clean. Loved the balcony. Needs some marketing to keep it alive!! Music, Scentsy, aroma, and cheerfulness could be better to make it more pleasing. Cinnamon rolls, crousouts, casserole egg seemed a day or so old. Clerk at night was very hospitsble. Thought we would get a tour but was offered be. Broom snd cleaning material in eight of people in dining room. Hardly any lighting turned on in dining room for breakfast. Seemed gloomy.
