Called the non emergency line to get assistance because my car ran out of gas. I pushed it for about a mile before calling to maybe get some extra muscle to get over a patch of ice that was three houses down from my own home, I said I’d wait and it would be quick! Was told to call a tow company, because it wasn’t police business and essentially they weren’t responsible for my car running out of gas. I understand That they may be busy but refusing to even discuss it, or send anyone without explanation, was really disappointing. They’re always there to issue a speeding ticket or parking citation, but never there when you need them.

Great visibility while our stay here. Thanks for protecting my family with your presence! Stay safe! I saw the K-9 unit truck twice in my one night stay. Keep up the great work. That’s a huge deterrent and tool. A+ to fire and EMS around as well.

Complacent, lazy department. Has refused to show up to assist citizens 100% of the time I’ve been present to witness or have been the one calling. No interest in helping people within their jurisdiction. If you’re in an emergency you’re better of saving time and dealing with it yourself unless you have money or donuts to coax the police to you with.

I wish I could give 0 stars. A horrible department. On multiple occasions I have called for assistance for myself or others, been told police are in route, and in the end nobody showed up. When I called to ask why the police had abandoned its citizens, I was told tough luck, it wasn’t important enough to them. Fort Collins police exist to give speeding tickets, break up frat parties, and enjoy the complacency provided by their useless government jobs. Fort Collins police wouldn’t last minutes in any area an actual police force was required to help its citizens.

After my girlfriend was scammed at her workplace, Cameron Witt, a Fort Collins Police officer, walked us through the process very politely. He was punctual, amicable, and overall, a great help. Thank you for always supporting those in need, FoCo PD!!
