Appalled to see that this police department and its officers don't up hold their oath to the federal constitution. Sargent Dunaway needs to be educated on what she's there to do. First amendment rights are extremely important. Please provide the training necessary, to turn them into actual officer, instead of common thugs.
I am appalled on behalf of a constituent experience that the “SGT ON DUTY SGT. DUNAWAY” could allow such ignorance to transpire given her rank. As a Member of International Law Enforcement (United States Army Military Police) I feel as if one must be aware of all statutes that falls within there area of Jurisdiction, ESPECIALLY with a city which barely peaks 5,000.
Please avoid Silverthorne Colorado! Go to Denver, or Boulder. The police here have zero training and are very dangerous. They police for profit! Corruption at its finest!
Very disappointed to learn how blatantly unlawful this dept is. Why would I ever bring my family to this town where the local and county law enforcement have zero regard for civil rights? The poor leadership of this dept is frightenly evident. Please for the sake of all local citizens and potential tourists, educate your officers and supervisors as to the laws and their oath to the Constitution. Terrible display...
The employees here are COMPLETELY UNEDUCATED IN THE LAWS OF AMERICANS! WOW. Fire these & start all over again. They are an embarrassment to the city of Silverthorne, the state of Colorado & the United States of America!
