Recently had someone break into my house, called 911 and wasn't told that an officer would come to my house. They only broke into the garage and went through my cars in conifer and stole cash, and tried to take a high end bike, nothing else. Not being told anyone was going to come investigate i was concerned when a car pulled up, so i took my dog and my shotgun outside and while being blinded by LED lights i was told to put the gun down, of course i didn't because they had not identified who they were until the 4th or 5th time asking me to put my gun down. This is not an issue with the officer but the way they respond to calls, dispatch should inform residence that officers are coming, and officers should say who they are right away. We are equals as concerned when someone pulls up to a residence in the dead of night and blinds you with LED's after being robbed. With a family with a military and LEO background this is a dangerous practice for officers and citizens to not identify right away

I've lived in the same house in Jefferson County for 20+ years. I've had experiences with Animal Control and the Sheriffs Office -- all of which have been nothing but exemplary service. They are always respectful, professional and above all, kind. I'm so happy to know they are out there.

We had several interactions with the JeffCo sheriffs in the last days and were highly impressed by their professional interaction, fast and knowledgeable replies to our calls and very helpful deputies. One even called us on his free day to update us and connect us with the right division. My wife and I haven’t had much interaction with cops in the past, but these cases were handled excellently and demonstrated how the police can provide a great service to the community. Thank you!

My family has depended on the brave men and women of this force Force for over 10years more than a handful of times, and every incident they have gone above and beyond to ensure our safety as residents here in Jefferson county. We stand by and support the officers especially in a time where the line of duty is the most dangerous job than any other. My thanks will never show how great our appreciation is for all they do. But I will say it again, THANK YOU!!!!!nGOD BLESS!!!
