Not quite as intense as some other areas to hike, pretty easy for kids to walk around and see things. The only somewhat nerve wrecking thing is the 1 way traffic in and out, but go slow and you're fine.
Beautiful national monument with good hiking trails. Snow cover can make it challenging but it's worth it. Careful on one lane road coming in.
Great hiking opportunities with amazing views! I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Colorado. ud83dudc4dud83dude4c
There are no words to describe the Awe striking beauty of this Gem of a location. Great hiking, gorgeous scenery and fun 4x4/atv trails
Meh... Not really impressed. There's a few cool looking mountains but after you've been to other national parks like Rocky Mountain National park, Grand canyon, etc it's not really that impressive. I've been traveling through the Rocky Mountains for the past month and it looks no different than all the scenery I've been seeing this whole time. I didn't hike much in it so there could be more that I'm not seeing. To me it looks like any hiking that you'll find anywhere in the RockiesnnEdit: if you've never been to the Rocky Mountains, or colorado, then it will be beautiful to you. I was told that national monuments were just as beautiful as national parks, and this is the first national monument I've ever been to and I am not seeing the beauty that national parks have. Other national monuments may be different, I don't know
