Last Summer it was our pleasure to stay at one of the most charming and unique hotels. The main area is an old converted railway station, and the remodeled atmosphere is both modern while maintaining the historical setting. It is luxurious.nnThe rooms consist of individual, and quite artistic, stand alone structures. Calling them cabins would not do justice to them. They were constructed of very high end materials and very upscale fixtures. It was apparent that beautiful local wood and stone were incorporated in their design, and not by accident. Each room's amenities could not have been more inviting, from the actual record selection of great Jazz to the bath that looked like it belonged in a magazine.nnThe town is historic, and the local merchants are quaint. For food, there is an upscale restaurant with prices that were very reasonable. The fare was prepared to perfection, and the wine selection was quite nice yet affordable. There are also very nice breakfast options.nnWe will return, and if you are in this area, or plan a trip near Denver, I would encourage you to stay at this wonderful resort.

The highlights of our two night stay here were, first and foremost, the friendliness of the staff. As mentioned by other reviews, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and take care of our every need from late arrival through questions about the town. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and, importantly, warm. It was 15-25 degrees Fahrenheit during our stay and the cabin was well insulated, well heated, and had heated floors which were wonderful. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to be visiting Leadville.

Really great and unique hotel. Would make an incredible venue for a wedding or gathering. Owner's were very personable and hospitable. We stayed in a large cabin, which had heated floors and an attached bathroom. Only about forty minutes from either hot springs or skiing. Leadville ended up being an interesting town with a lot of history. Will absolutely look to stay again.

Freight is such a lovely place! We stayed in a small cabin during the big snowstorm this weekend and could not have been happier. You have the privacy of a cabin with the convenience of being located in town. I love waking up to City on a Hill and Earth, Wind & Fire on the record player. I highly recommend!!

I had a delightful first stay at Freight. The cabins are beautifully done with attention to detail and comfort. It was quiet and peaceful. The beer waiting for me in the fridge, good coffee and cream and the dog cookies were thoughtful and welcoming touches. The staff were friendly and the location is excellent. I highly recommend Freight as a place to stay when visiting Leadville. I look forward to returning.
