Would be a wonderful place if the vagrants and dead animal corpses were cleaned up.
Awesome place to go with the family and get away from the city. I picked this place because there is no cell service and it got the family closer together so we could spend quality time together.
The campsite itself is in a cool location near the river. However it is right near the highway so there will be car noise. Also there are not many spots and very limited space since it is right by the river and highway.nBIGGEST note though: you must call and reserve your site or go online and reserve. It is a reservation only place. However many spots will be empty and theoretically* if you wanted you may be able to slip a in a spot. Not great overall, would not recommend on the grounds of making a reservation is a pain in their system, must be done well in advance, and is a reservation only site with limited space and breathing room.
Great campground along the Arkansas River. The spots are right along the river. Bathrooms are clean but there are no showers. There is no shade and if can be dusty at times.
Best kept secret right next to the river!
