Merrifield Homestead Cabins and Hot Springs

I stayed at the Holloway cabin with my husband and dog. We had an amazing time! The cabin is very charming and well stocked. It came with a personal welcome sign and delicious Andre peach champagne with chilled glasses. The setting, in a beautiful canyon where you always hear the rolling river, is magical. And the private hot springs soaking pool is the best I have ever experienced. The water temperature is perfect and the provided floats allow you to completely relax. I wish I were soaking now!

We stayed in the Holloway cabin. It is a magical place with your own private hot spring fed pool. Highly recommend this to anyone seeking a getaway with privacy and soothing sounds of the creek while soaking your cares away. The owner is very responsible and attentive.

The Holloway cabin was a fantastic place to stay for our anniversary staycation. The water is perfect for aching bodies. Far enough from town for privacy, but close enough to have food and souvenirs within minutes. No phone service and iffy wifi help keep it quiet and peaceful away from the outside world. After parking. there are stairs and a bridge to cross to get in the cabin. The creek is absolute perfection. We didn't bring any pets, but there are tons of goodies for pups if you do! We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't lock the side door, but otherwise everything was perfect.

I don't even know how to begin.... This place was just simply amazing. Everything about it. You can tell they put thought into making it the best experience possible and take pride in it. From the little things to the big (eg. Complimentary drinks & pool floaties to surround sound speakers around the private hot springs). It was such a wonderful experience. I can't say enough about it. We stayed in Holloway cabin and it was an absolute dream to soak in the hot springs while listening to and watching the nearby rushing river. There was tree coverage in adequate amounts so the nearby road did not impede our privacy. Even the neighboring cabin didn't impede our privacy, as the way they are set up made me forget we even had anyone else around. I could just relax, listen to music, appreciate those I was with, and melt away into our private hot springs in a breathtaking area. Oh! And I haven't even MENTIONED Jacqui (the cabin manager)! My God, she was just as amazing as the place! Her costumer service was just absolutely refreshing and on point from the very first time we talked to the last. I can't say enough good things about her either. I can tell she loves her job and she really went the extra mile to make the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I am normally not one that writes reviews, but there is no way I could walk away from this one without doing so. I would say, it was a little bit hot to stay there in July without an air cooler of any sort, but that's expected in a Colorado cabin (there were multiple fans available though). No matter, It was just such an absolute pleasure to stay here. 10 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We did not end up coming to the hot springs here because you have to stay in the cabins for access, but I wanted to give 5 stars for their customer service! I called to ask a question and she was so helpful and friendly, and even took a minute to give us a suggestion where else to go since we already had lodging and weren’t interested in staying at the cabins. Next time I’m in buena vista, I’ll be sure to book a cabin here!
