The idea for the school is a great idea ...But like most ideas that require humans so that it will work ,I feel like it's a failure .When playing musical instruments and weaving or knitting come before reading and writing ...Something's wrong .nAs well the information that we got about the plan for our son to be in the same class with all his classmates throughout his entire education ...Fell to pieces after the very 1st year .nAs well I don't feel that this school offers any sort of real life experience or expectancy ,Leaving kids with an idealistic and unrealistic Perception of the World that I think is almost dangerous .While I wish the rest of the world could match up with the ideals of this school ,It's just not so .

From my view, the best education a parent can offer their child. Attend one of their plays and you'll see Waldorf education in action.

My daughter joined The Waldorf School of San Diego in Kindergarten and is now in 11th Grade there, and thriving! The teachers in the high school are experts in their respective fields, are Waldorf certified teachers and they truly love working with adolescent students. The class sizes are small, the students all want to be there and do their best, they are respectful and accomplished. They have a rich academic curriculum but offer all the arts (dance, singing, orchestra, jazz ensemble, painting, drawing, theatre, costume, sports and so much more!). And they don't make the students specialize too early so all the students participate in all the subjects! These are happy, healthy kids! The school is AWSNA and WASC accredited, they are also an SAT certified site. Take the tour and see for yourself!
