I went there from 1948 to 1954. At that time my parents were involved in the school board. We had excellent teachers in all grades and many field trips. Our orange groves bordered the north side of the school. Highland was a great area to raise a family. I think now it has gone down hill. We now live in central Wyoming!
I went here in 2007-2008; kids were awful but my teacher were nice. I especially loved the afterschool program. My brother hated his 5th grade teacher though. The teacher was rude to my mother, unfortunately I dont remember his name or if he even still works there. He had a military style of teaching, and was just an awful man from what my brother told me.
