Upon returning home after being away, we noticed a pungent odor emitting from our garage floor drain. Suspecting a problem with our septic system, I knew that the situation needed to be dealt with soon.nChecking Home Adviser (formerly Angie list) for recommendations, very early that morning, I left a desperate online message for Judd Septic Tank Cleaning. Soon after, their business day began at about 9:00 a.m. I received a phone call from Richard Judd, the owner.nRichard told me that he had a full, busy schedule for that day. However, one of his service calls was in the general vicinity of my house. He asked me if I wanted him to stop by and check for the cause of the problem.nThen while on the phone, he asked me if I wanted him to talk me through some necessary steps to diagnose the cause of the issue. I am handy and was very concerned, so I went for his on-phone help. Within concise steps under his able direction, we determined that the problem was not anything wrong with the septic system, it was operating as it should be.nThen returning to the garage (with the doors now open to ventilate), he told me to check the water levels of the garage floor drains. The water level for floor crock in the first bay was right, but the second was bone dry. After filling it up to the operating level with clean water and the odor quickly disappeared.nMy wife and I are most grateful for the skilled help that Richard provided to us. Since it was close to the time for our septic tank treatment, I asked Richard to do it at his convenience. The next morning Richard and his son took care of that for us and inspected the entire system.nWe cannot tell how happy we are that we called Judd Septic Tank Cleaning and Service.
