Been meaning to do this for a while, and now I simply have to. 5 stars and great admiration from your people on highland. The death of an armed assailant in the Oregon district and your immediate responses to our calls warrants this rating.
No one will answer the phone. It rang for five minutes and then disconnected. They probably won't help me anyway.
I've lived in Dayton for decades and surrounding areas my entire life. Getting a decent cop to respond is hard enough the call center is about the same. Sometimes they seem capable of doing there jobs that the tax payers pay for but far to much you get a rude untrained/ ineffective nit that couldn't do there job no matter how much you try to teach them. Common sense can't always be taught. Less rudeness/ attitude more job performance and effectiveness would be a good start. Change / accountability needs to come from the top, with the people there now I don't see that happening. Sincerely, Property owner / concerned tax payer
I have called Dayton PD a few times since moving to the Belmont neighborhood in the late 90s.nnThe responding officers, as well as the dispatchers I've spoken with, have always shown the appropriate concern for the matter at hand and have always demonstrated professionalism.nnThank you Dayton PD! I am sitting at Penn Station on Brown street watching the traffic flow. I do this quite frequently since I dine in the area at noon several times a week. I am shocked at the percentage of illegal left turns by drivers with no respect to the posted sign near the intersection, as well as the numerous times Jimmy Johns drivers illegally park. Traffic flow is many times bottle necked because of both. In the 6 years I have been watching, I witnessed 2 parking tickets and no citations for illegal turns.nnHelp make the intersection safe again!
