Washingtonville Police Department

These guys are thirsty to meet quotas. My fiancée bypassed them on the road, heading in opposite directions on her way to work 3am. She turns off the road and before she gets on the highway, they pulled her over. The officer issued her a ticket for the rear plate bulb being out. The officer was so observant about the bulb being out on the plate, causing him to make a U-Turn to stop. Yet, not observant nor competent to write down the correct vehicle state on the ticket. He wrote the car as a registered New York plate instead of the actual state of Pennsylvania.

Outstanding professionalism to keep the community safe. Well structured and professional department that are resourceful, respectful, and are always at an emergency no matter where, in a timley manor. And to the person that said they were pulled over for doing 40 in a 45... I think you left this on the wrong department as there are no speedlimit 45 zones in the police jurisdiction.nnEdit: Its funny all these bad reviews for the wrong department. There are no highways in washingtonville so I have no clue who stopped you by a highway!

i can't believe it. They gave my wife a ticket going 40 on a 45 because it was raining. The officer stated that 40 was to fast for light drizzle rain? People talk about NYPD cops in the city being horrible but since i moved up here to orange county I have heard the most crazy reasons for being pulled over. Its all about quotas and $$$$$
