Menards

Bought a new pressure wash from Hermantown Menards. It was a display model. I do pressure cleaning as my daily job. Had a job that needed to be done today, because the business was having an outdoor venue that they were having the next day. Before using the machine, it had already had old gas in it with flakes of dirt at the bottom and full of old oil. Display models are not supposed to be used, or stored with oil and gas in them. After spending and hour trying to get the machine started, I gave up. The business that I was doing work for needed the job done today, and I lost there business because they needed to hire someone else to get the job done. Cost me 500$ out of my pocket that can not be made back. As I went to return the product for a new one, I explained to the employee the situation, and I expected to be compensated some how, a gift card 20-30 percent off to help some of the damage that they had caused. They did not do anything about it. Selling a product that doesn’t work, let alone containing gas and oil is against policy. I am very disappointed in Menards corporation for this, and will not be coming back here anymore because the lack of professionalism, and not doing what they are supposed to. The least they could have done was give some bit of discount or gift card for the major loss of money they caused me this day. I still need a new pressure washer and now I’m out 500 dollars and a pressure washer because they did not have anymore in stock. Very disappointed.

The lines are usually short. Return policies have always been good for me. Prices are slightly better than the one the similar big box store. I would probably still shop here over the other store even if it was closer.

Clean store. Easy to find items.. And a helpful staff!

Spoke to a lady named Kathy on the phone about drills and she was very pleasant and extremely helpful.

I have to admit the customer service has greatly improved the last 10 years. Today's visit was great.
