Barrington Police Department

Went into today to get my finger prints done for green card application and everyone was so very nice and helpful. The police officers were professional and friendly. It took a short time and left with souvenirs for my toddler. The other reviews are so immature and don't do a crime, in turn you won't have to face a cop.

I am a construction worker and was standing by the side of the road waiting for a delivery. After explaining this I get asked for an ID and then endless questioning without any probable cause. Nice lady but she needs a lesson in civil rights.

I called with a simple question and was almost immediately mocked by the women who answered the phone. She not only was incompetent of understanding what I was asking her, she was nasty and laughing, when she clearly didnt know how to answer my question.nClearly not people I'd like to deal with on a regular basis, such shame, I thought the police department was there to help us!?

I have had numerous interactions with the Barrington police department. I as a citizen feel that they do not do there job properly. They pass judgment make life comments especially from an officer who testified in my behalf. My family and I have called them on several occasions. And I have had my past thrown in my face for no reason. My son and I both called the Barrington police for an erratic driver. We where told there were no officers available. Again tonight July 29th I was driving down lake cook rd a driver almost rM me off the road almost hit 3 cars head on I called the Barrington police they pulled me over . Then an officer who came to my home was extremely rude refusing to give me his name but called me by my first name .drove off I have pictures. Then he again came back to my home never once asked me if I or my elderly mother wanted to press charges let the driver go. Again treated like a doormat yes I spoke to the officer very aggressively but I was shaking and upset by how again I was treated. Then I told the officer in charge a red headed officer was the one that pulled me over as I was pointing to the other driver officer g I think since he never really pronounced ot helped me denied that Barrington had no red headed officer's well look at the website another lie. I as a taxpayer who works 2 jobs 80 hrs a week to be treated this way .

They helped us out immediately with a sensitive issue, and they were professional and respectful
