The food was great as usual. However, with no apparent explanation, the service was insanely slow. Maybe pickup orders because of the pandemic? Who knows? But it was 25 minutes for a beef and a dog. Worth the wait for me nonetheless as I live in FL now and closest is 2 hours away. Love the food!

Ordered a big beef with sweet peppers on beef and hot peppers on the side. Also got a cake shake and onion rings. Received a regular sized beef with hot peppers on beef and hot peppers on side instead. Cake shake was barely blended and most of the cake was in a giant chunk at the bottom of cup. This review is just for this particular night I ordered.

Fast & EfficientnnPlenty of drive-thru attendants outside. Be sure to know what you're ordering. (online menu) Someone will walk up to you to take your order and payment, even before reaching the menu board. Even better, if you order online, there's a dedicated person in the parking lot, to avoid the line. Much faster system than most, which allows them to handle the long lines. They have change, but pay credit card if you can. This will speed up service for everyone.nnTook off a star due to them leaving out ketchup with my fry order. (I know Chicago has a thing against ketchup) But it would've helped to offer. The server had to walk 10 yards to me, so I felt bad asking him to go back in to get some. (And my order was sooner than the cars in front so I didn't want to wait to reach the window) But it would be nice if they took the time for a minor detail. So for ketchup fans, be sure to ask beforehand.nnI've never been disappointed with Portillo's, city or suburbs. For around $2 more for a meal, it's worth the extra quality than McD or BK. Definitely a recommended spot in the area.

We ordered on the app for pickup at 7:45pm. We got in line at the drivethru 7:40pm and our food wasn't made nor did attendant care with our questions. We're waited in a long line for almost 15 minutes. The 2 Italian beef bowls we ordered were okay. The extra peppers and cheese we added extra which we paid for was absolutely stingy. The picture on the app and the food don't look the same. The bag was packed lousy. The bowls were squashed and the Italian beef juice spilled into the plastic bag it was wrapped in. Thank goodness they put them in plastic or my lap would have been soaked. The fish sandwich I ordered for my daughter was made wrong, it was not plain. It had tartar sauce on it. And so was my other daughter's burger. It too was not plain. The crinkle fries were cold and old too. Seriously.... not that difficult, yet it appears this place has many teenagers that don't care what the heck their serving. 1st and Last time going here. Not worth taking photos.
