For railfans, this place is alright. Nice shot but the Sharon Police don't like railfans and often kick people out.
Quiet, safe, easy access and good train schedule on weekdays. Just 27 minutes to South Station. Easy parking for the fortunate commuters who get quarterly passes - all 700 or so spaces are taken in about 4 minutes during quarterly online lottery.
Nice station where you can piecefully wait for your train! Also a great place to railfan due to high speed trains like the acela!
This is a small station, but there is building that serves as a waiting area during morning rush hours. A Small coffee booth that serves coffee and quick breakfast bites. It opens only during weekday morning, closes after 9:03am train to Boston.
Good commuter rail station but not a lot of parking especially for non resident pass holders. Daily parking is available on the Providence side but fills up between 7 and 7:30am most weekdays. Note that some daily parking is reserved for Sharon residents with a sticker that can be obtained from the department of public works behind the police station, but the daily fee still needs to be paid.
