Eddie at Bananas Salon, is incredible... I've been through two lash locations and they were not as skilled as Eddie is. My lashes are so full and natural looking. they stay on for weeks! I even can wash my face without any issues with my lashes. Ive been doing my lashes with Eddie for almost a year! He is fantastic and works around your schedule. I highly recommend Eddie if your looking for a 5 Star look.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for lash extension services. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that actually specializes in them. I’ve been here twice for fills and both times I left disappointed. To be honest, I probably shouldn’t have gone back the second time but I figured maybe he was just having a bad day the first time I went. But both times I went he was being very dismissive and I could clearly tell he was rushing. When I left my lashes didn’t look any different, in fact they looked worse because I could see chunks of glue and they looked really unnatural. Not to mention, the room is very dark and dingy and smells like cigarettes. Overall, my experience here was very unpleasant and a complete waste of money. Like I said, if you’re looking for lash services stick to the professionals and people who actually specialize in them.

This place is simply the BEST for lash extensions. I have been going to Eddie since 2007 and my biggest anxiety in life is that some day he will retire and then what will happen to my beautiful lashes? I am a busy professional who will pay whatever the cost to get the best. Prior to meeting Eddie I had been getting my lashes done on Newbury St paying $175 a fill. Not only did Eddie’s work make them all look like amateurs, but he charged much less. People cannot tell I get my lashes done but they constantly ask me what mascara I use and compliment me.nnPrior to seeing Eddie, I struggled with my lash extensions. My eyes are sensitive so the glue and application always bothered me. I always felt lashes poking me, clumps of glue, genuine discomfort - but I dealt with it because the alternative was no lashes and I didn’t want to do that. There was probably 2 occasions in the past 12 years that I needed to go to someone else - once I was traveling and another time the only day I could do was a Sunday due to work travel. Both experiences were horrible and made me appreciate Eddie and his mastery all the more. My lashes are never bothersome and no more tears when Eddie does them!nnLash extensions are not like a facial - not everyone has the natural ability to perform this artistry. You must have hands that can do very intricate work - always with a eye for aethestics. Some have it, some don’t, training and experience only does so much. My natural eyelashes are virtually nonexistent. I am also blonde so they are tiny micro lashes that are basically invisible - lucky me! I count my blessings for having found Eddie. He gives me the thick luscious lashes I could never get no matter what prescription or non prescription products I bought. Once again, for me, I am a busy professional willing to pay whatever it takes to get the look I want. I’m just so lucky that I found Eddie and that his prices are great. I would never dream of going anywhere else. It’s an unpretentious place - and you come out looking 100X better than an overpriced spa in Boston.nnAnd one last thing, I have known Eddie for 12+ years, so I think I have a little more experience than someone who went to him one time. I am also someone who pays a lot for cosmetic services, so I think I know what good is. As you can imagine, some clients are crabby and never satisfied. Eddies goal is to make everyone happy, but for some, that’s just impossible, so they resort to saying things like the place is “dingy”. Honestly, petty and untrue, but secondly, who the heck cares? If I had to get my lashes done in a basement to get the best of the best I would happily do it. I live in Lexington and travel 40 min to see Eddie. Trust me, he is worth the trip every time ud83dude0a I was shamefully reluctant to leave this honest review as I don’t want him busier than he already is, but I guess I can’t be selfish. Other people should get to experience the Eddie I know and love too!
