I got my first and only haircut at Jo Bruno's salon today. I cried the whole way home. I've been growing my hair long for the past year. I asked to keep my length and TRIM the ends with adding lots of layers throughout. The hair stylist cut at least 4 inches off the bottom of my hair. The few layers she did give me are very choppy, blunt and not blended at all. The bottom is dense and not layered as it should be. I look like an adolescent. Oh, and did I mention that the right side of my hair is a full inch SHORTER than the left side. I've had many curly cuts before and the curls are usually cut one by one to create a nice shape. This was like a regular haircut for people with straight hair, nothing like the careful curly cuts I've received before. I am so disappointed in my choppy, haphazard haircut. I will absolutely not be going back.nnUPDATE: it’s been one month since my haircut and it’s still horrible. The right side of my hair is about an inch and a half shorter than the left side. The right side has zero layers and is cut bluntly as if by accident. The left side is layered correctly. When I look in the mirror, I see two different haircuts, one on each side. I can’t wait for it to grow out so I can get if fixed by someone else.

I've been going to Stephanie for the last 3 years. she is super receptive, has the best ideas, and knows exactly how to achieve your hair goals. highly recommend!!!!!!

So disappointed... I was so excited to get my first ever Deva cut! I had seen so many videos on YouTube and pictures but I was so disappointed I did not leave with the beautiful curls I had imagined. Amber was sweet but she didn’t ask anything didn’t even try to start a conversation or ask how I usually style my hair or if I wanted bangs, nothing. I left with hard crunchy curls it was just awful. $60 for nothing very disappointing.

Lucy cut my curly hair (type 3A) ten months ago and it remains the best cut I've ever had. She gave me helpful layers rather than choppy or amplifying ones, an experience most curly-haired folks have gone through before, and used her knowledge of curly hair to meet my requests perfectly. I highly recommend this place to anyone with curly hair. People with straight hair can probably get a good cut too. Absolutely worth it!
