This 122 acre Botanical Garden was started in 1988. Visiting is a relaxing and delightful experience.nnThe day we visited it was sunny and warm. It was Spring break in Huntsville and kids were everywhere enjoying the park, seeing the fish and turtles, the butterflies and learning something about the plants and trees.nnThe layout is designed for walking through. There are occasionally special exhibits announced by the Garden. The pleasure of visiting varies by season and what is blooming.nnThe gift shop is worth a visit as well. Very tasteful selection of gifts, art, etc. reminiscent of the visit to the Botanical Garden.nnFor those in Huntsville or who visit often, an annual membership is available to enable visiting an any time. It is worth the extra expense for those who really enjoy the Garden.

Very beautiful and a lot of fun to walk around. The Butterfly Hall is truly the gem of the gardens, but everything is a must see. Beautiful wooded areas with flowers along the paths, pretty water installations, darling miniature train station, fun little herb garden where touching and smelling everything was encouraged.nnThe only thing that held this place back for me was the map! I'm not even sure the map provided is for this garden. I had a specific area I really wanted to see, but I had no idea where it was and I'm not sure I ever found it.nnIt put a little damper on my trip, but everything I did see was so nice, I would absolutely return (hopefully in Spring next time!) 9/10, would recommend!

Finally made it to the botanical gardens after living in Huntsville for over a year. I didn't realize how large the grounds were. Nice paved paths and lots and lots of picnic tables. Looking forward to making it to the butterfly house next time. They do not have butterflies year round. I believe your entry fee goes towards a membership if you decide to join.

Went drive through at Galaxy of Lights. Was excellent as always. Great displays. Bumper to bumper as usual. About 45 minute drive from start (at toll booth) to end. Police car at end to ensure you turn right when leaving gardens. Wife and I had opportunity to work this event 7 or more years ago (before I was wheelchair bound after car crash). Thank these folks especially after weather drops into 20's or 30's. Merry Christmas to All.

We really enjoy coming here and seeing the gardens. It's usually not crowded, which is a boon for getting out with this pandemic going on. Most areas are well marked and we'll tended to. There are a few newer areas going in that still need work, but it's not fair to complain when the established areas are so nice. There are multiple fountains and nice sitting areas scattered around. Plenty of picnic tables.nnWe've had an annual membership for multiple years now and plan to continue to renewing.
