I had interactions with the police department trying to help me with a civil and legal issue and every interaction with them they were prompt, thorough and courteous. They took my concerns and requests seriously and in the end justice was served. Very impressed with their efficiency.

#549 Officer F**k You needs to be retrained, and the other officers on scene need to learn to act appropriately in these kinds of situations.

When I was arrested they were very gentle when placing the handcuffs on.. the back seat of the squad car was surprisingly roomy! Officers easy to conversate with! Very professional! If you’re planning on getting arrested I would definitely recommend Decatur city! I’m for sure planning on getting arrested with these guys in the future! Highly recommend DCP!

Tell me why a Decatur police officer pulled me over to ask me “who I am”. Tell me why I drove through a neighborhood and a police officer followed me over a mile then stopped me, came to the window and told me he pulled me over for driving through a neighborhood. This is unlawful. A police officer cannot and should not pull people over to “identify” someone and ask someone why they drove down a road. That’s absolutely absurd. If I wasn’t speeding. If I wasn’t swerving or weaving. If I wasn’t running stop signs or failing to use signal, stop me. But do not stop me just to ask me what I’m doing.

The police department refuses to do its job to take a very serious report. They have not even tried to assist.
