Personally I have a love and hate relationship with Peete Elementary. I love the staff and location, but I hate when I walk in the cafeteria and the students can't talk amongst each other or the cafeteria aids appear to be having a nervous break down to the point they're yelling. I hate when I walk into a room and the student is sitting directly against the front board, or in a corner with their backs to the front of the room, and the sad part is, they'll remain there all year without a real second chance. Where is the room to grow? When do they have a small break to release tention if not during lunch? Half of the time they're denied recess. I understand the teachers may have a lot on their plates working with hundreds of students on a daily basis, but my question is: why did you choose that career? Why choose to work with 1st graders if you have no patience? Please share with me if you have more info. that as a parent i don't see.
