The museum is fairly small, but has a fair amount of attractions. This museum would be a fun way to spend an hour or so as a regular visit, but not for a lot longer.nnI was there for a modest sized event, which was very enjoyable. We booked the museum and had a lovely time. They worked with us to provide a certain unique experience for our event. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided excellent service.
My 4 yr son and I had an amazing day. Everything was so awesome. Very clean and friendly staff.
Really enjoyed our visit today. There were a couple areas that were closed, but it was fun regardless. We had a pleasant conversation with Drayton who shared some knowledgeable information about the exhibits. Between the interactive elements and detailed displays, there’s fun for the whole family! 10/10
I was expecting a bit more from here, but for children under 10 it will keep them entertained for an hour. Look on Groupon for ticket deals.
Enlightening visit! Took a stress day off from work to check out the secondary location for HMNS. I discovered that the building was the former Tx Central State Prison Farm for Black inmates. The labor of Black inmates built it, sustained it, and farmed the sugar cane and cotton crops from 1930-1968. Imperial Sugar Company in Sugar Land Tx wouldn't be in existence with out Black labor! The whole surrounding area is now an upscale residential/retail development called Telfair! I lot of exhibits were closed off due to social distancing! It is much smaller than the main location, but, it has enough to keep your attention. Admission was $13 for adults for the main exhibits and $4 extra for some of the special programs. Good little day trip!
