Great exhibits, favorite area was The Outlaws. You really learn the history and roots of country music. However, it saddened me to feel like it was being run by a type of gestapo. What has this country come to? Be prepared for incredibly long lines just to use an elevator, after your temp has already been checked and MASKS STRICTLY AND RUDELY ENFORCED LIKE WE ARE ALL LITTLE CHILDREN. God forbid you accidentally end up downstairs to use the bathroom or some other reason because even though you paid a lot of money for your ticket, you will have to either wait another half hour to ride an elevator or beg and plead to try to get back to where you left off. It is sad that under the guise of public safety we would be so willing to be treated like this. I want to do my best to support the preservation of history for generations to come, but at what cost? Security people were not friendly and made you feel like you were constantly in trouble or they were looking for trouble. This cannot be a good way to run an attraction that’s dependent on public support.nnI would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE STUDIO B TOUR WITH RON. It ended the frustrating day on a high note. He is a phenomenal tour guide.
Wow, just wow, talk about history from the roots of country music to current day artist! The exhibits here are great for young and old. You simply will spend AT LEAST 2 hours here and still not see everything. The movies they’re showing brought back memories for my grandma from the 40’s. We absolutely loved it and plan to go back since we did miss some things!
So much history in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Enjoyed the self guided tour through the building reading about the beginnings of some of the pioneers of country music, as well as new artists of today. Worth every penny and will return again. They also have a very nice gift shop for souvenirs.
So much fun to learn about music history and a great place to bring visitors from out of town. The Kacey Musgraves exhibit is so stunning and I loved seeing some of her most iconic outfits. There is so much to see and I enjoyed reading all the information on each exhibit. One thing I wished they would have highlighted more is how African American music was a huge influence on early country music, and how many white musicians covered African American artists, receiving most of the profits. Since it's a huge part of music history, I wish that had been touched upon more. Still enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it!
I am surprised that multiple artists share a single display box for such a big museum, they have enough room and must have enough money and objects to display more for some of these incredible artists. Was a bit disappointed to see such a large space given to Taylor swift but other timeless artists were tucked away. The rotunda at the end was overall beautiful and an incredible sight to see! Honestly that alone almost made the entire museum worth being there.
