Very dated.many things need to be updated pronto. Outside at night looks nice but many things need to be fixed. We stayed in the double bed with kitchenette. Was decent but definitely could be better for the price. The couch was a pull out but straight up horrible. Most uncomfortable. The pools were good but inside was definitely overcrowded. I don't understand why wrist bands were given out because we met tons of people who walked in (without a room) and used the pools, then left. So what's the point of wrist bands?) Staff at the pools were wicked sweet. I would've given our stay a better review if my kids could have gone on the balcony(at all) without smelling weed all day and night. Kind of a weird layout. You go across the street to check in. There are three towers and pools are in the very last tower, 3. For the most part, definitely needs to be updated and many things fixed. Kind of sketchy.

So I won a local giveaway which included two nights at the Crown Reef in a queen efficiency. We checked in around 4:30pm and there was a line to check in but it moved fairly quickly. I do suggest doing express check in beforehand to shorten your time and paper work in lobby. We drove across the street and found our tower and room pretty easily. Spaces were filling quickly after we parked. There is a small kitchen with appliances including a stove, refrigerator, and a microwave. First impression was that the room wasn't as nice as I expected for a resort. It was mostly clean, besides some hair stuck to the back of the bathroom door and miscellaneous stains on the floor in the bathroom. Some bars of soap and a small container of dish soap were provided. A large pot, a sauce pan, a frying pan, a sheet pan, glass baking dishes, and four each of plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, and silverware were available in the kitchen. The pot barely fits in the sink. There is a coffee pot and some provided coffee in room. No pot holders so we used a towel. Each bed had three pillows and they were pretty small, the size of a decorative pillow. We live locally so we actually went home and got our pillows. All the floors are tile inside with carpet outside. Noises from the pools and outside our hotel room were kind of loud. The shower does this weird thing to where you turn it so far and it starts making this loud sound so that made it difficult to sleep when the neighbors took at shower at 12am. Water also gets super hot so definitely test it to avoid scalding. I think my bed frame was broke or had worn out springs because it was pretty creaky. Masks are supposed to be worn in the elevator and no more than four people in an elevator but I wouldn't always expect that. We ended up utilizing the stairs a lot. Water park is okay. Pools were heated this time of year. We went later in the evening so we could have our own hot tub. I've never had to pay for parking fee for each night we stayed at a hotel. Overall not the worst place we could stay in Myrtle but I doubt we would spend the money to stay again or recommend to our friends. Much better places for better deals.

Excellent location, great rooms and amenities. Customer service was phenomenal. Very kids friendly though they try to keep patrons without kids in rooms away from the bigger groups of patrons w kids (to keep both groups happy) if possible. Just a fantastic place to stay any time of the year. I highly recommend it. Highly. Will always try to stay here when we visit.

I liked it. I didn't have any issues with any staff. All were friendly and helpful. The rooms could be in just a little better shape but nothing horrible. Just sloppy paint and some rust on appliances. I loved the water park area and the beach front view. Would stay here again.
