I have a child in 1st grade. We love York. It's a small, neighborhood school and gives kids lots of attention. All interactions I've had with the school have been helpful and nice. Our child is actually disappointed to miss a day at school. I think that's the best possible recommendation.
My 3 children went to this horrible, terrible school. If you child has an IEP or learning problems this is not the school for you. They are so stuck on teaching the common core way and can't see how horrible of an education system it is. My son wasted 4 years in that school and when he left he could not read or write, he only knew some of his alphabets and some of his numbers. In 1 semester at partnership elementary all that was fixed, he is still slowly progressing but in 4 years at this school he made no progress. I'm so grateful we found him a new school like partnership elementary.
This is truly the definition of a neighborhood school. Great principal, great teachers, and a great community. The PTA isn't too bad either!
I left york in 2009 due to my family moving i miss this school soooo much. Im graduating in 2020 but I look back at my 2nd grade days here.
My daughter goes to York and she loves it and I also love the way the teachers teach the kids well my child because she is learning so much math, reading, and all other things as well so York keep up the good work that you do.
