So it appears this replica fort is closed at all times except on the third Saturday of every month when they do a reenactment. You can take a stroll around the outside of it, but not worth going too far out of your way to do.
I really enjoyed going to the Old Fort there's a lot of really neat history and look forward to learning more about it and maybe going back some weekend soon for a re-enactment there! The guy that was there was very knowledgeable and is a Cherokee Indian and helps everyone that comes in.
Very knowledgeable staff. Worth the stop in if heading to catawba falls.
We arrived after a show had taken place. They still let our little ones explore the fort and told us stories about the fort. Will definitely be at the show in August
