We were able to have the entire trolley car to ourselves because of Covid- which was actually a great experience. Our trip took us to a lovely park off the river where we ate an early lunch, and a quaint coffee shop where my family and I got to relax and go our own speed, since no one else was with us. The Craggy mountain team was so incredibly friendly and it was a breeze coordinating with Rocky. There were parts of the ride that weren’t lovely to look at (see the review with lower stars because of the views) but we have to remember that the track is over 100 years old...can’t help what’s built around it. Our small boys loved it and that’s all that matters. Thanks Rocky and team!

This is a must-have experience for families with young children and the young at heart. We took the Jingle-Bell trolley to the end of the line, toured in and around the collection of antique train cars, carriages, and engines, and then enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate with Mr. and Mrs. Klaus.nnAll of this was socially distanced, masked, and our party was the only group on the property!nnStellar entertainment delivered safely in the midst of trying times. I can say this open-air Christmas experience saved the holidays for our extended family, providing a safe place to celebrate together. Good show Craggy Mountain Line!

My grands and I had a fun ride on the train! We reserved the whole train for just our fam and took the scenic ride by the French Broad River!! Great vistas and wonderful open air with nice mountain breezes. The stop at the waterfront park was a wonderful chance to stretch and let the kids run around for a bit before getting back on the train!! This was a wonderful experience! They are offering private parties only right now, but it was so worth it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. All of the trains and history are fascinating. We got to go on a trolley ride down to a park by the river and back again as part of our rental time. Highly recommend! Call ahead to reserve a day and time block. Bring cash or check.

We have come multiple times and had a great time each and every time. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the ride is scenic, fun, and ever changing. This is a place you'll want to come several times a year and experience one of the most unique views of the area.nnBonus tip: This is one of the best ways for the little ones to meet Santa every December!
