Yellow Fever House and Martyrs MuseumnIf you're in town to visit Graceland Too, Yellow Fever probably deserves some attention. During the Epidemic of 1878, seven Catholics -- a priest and nuns -- were martyred while nursing other Holly Springs victims. The church, originally built in 1841 and later restored, tells their story in a small museum, open by appointment.nnIn Hillcrest Cemetery, there is a marker commemorating the Yellow Fever martyrs.nnThere is a historical marker at the Yellow Fever House at 104 East Gholson Avenue. W.J.L. Holland, a local newspaper owner, was the chairman of the relief committee in 1878, and succumbed to the malady himself.
