The Osprey Apartments

I moved in about a week ago, and so far the price is good for the apartment and overall experience. Maintenance is short staffed - it took them a few days to fix my fridge. The location is relatively secluded and very quiet; I rarely hear my neighbors. Jordan from the leasing office is very friendly and helpful, although extremely busy, making communication slow. I've called multiple times and gotten no answer. The apartment itself is newly renovated. The biggest negatives are maintenance and management kind of being all over the place.

Will be moving out the end of this month and can’t wait! Only been here for a year and it was fine but I’m not paying almost $1000 for rent with no renovations. You can move into a home for that much WITH A YARD which is exactly what we are doing. They are racking up the rent so they can go around in their little golf carts and try to “fix” stuff. Well the renovation underneath me has been going on for about 6 months with unnecessary noise at 7 in the morning while my kids are still asleep.nI just hope your new doors are big enough to move my furniture OUT!nThey’ve done weird renovations to this place like the parking lot to which we had to park down by Ollie’s and walk all the way up. With two babies that’s not easy. Or the painting of the hallways when we had to ask for them to keep the doors open so the stench wasn’t affecting us. Or now the tile floors being ripped up and having to stay in the house for 3 hours on a Saturday morning. Then when I left I stepped down into glue on the bottom step I didn’t see and got my shoe stuck in it! Then the maintenance man says “oh don’t step there”nJust overall the new management is trying to turn this into some high end place when this was the most reasonable place in Aberdeen to live. Aberdeen isn’t like white marsh and we don’t need to be charged those prices.

Ac has been broken for a month and maintenence has done literally nothing about it. They finally show up, only we weren't home and they just let themselves in without notice. I come home, find them tearing up my hallway carpet, and I tell them to leave. They refuse to do so, one member even getting in my face and threatening me.nnI will be pressing charges. Do not come here.

Most terrible place ever. Rent was hiked up with zero renovations to our unit. New neighbors that moved in right above us are extremely loud and sounds like they keep banging stuff on the floor and stomp on purpose until midnight when my family is trying to sleep. There was a mouse going around in the building and somehow ended up coming into our apartment then disappeared. We complained to them and they said they will take a look at it but nobody from management showed up nor did anything about this problem. How about getting some pest control done in these buildings. The old management atleast got pest control done from time to time. After this new management came, nobody bothered to get pest control done. They only care about useless renovations and gardening and useless flowers, and most importantly, they want your money and do nothing about the complaints they receive. They even got rid of the extra storage space that each apartment had downstairs in the laundry room. That’s just more expense for us because we now have no space to put that stuff in our apartment and we had to rent a storage in Abingdon and pay $57 a month for it. So why hike up the rent when you’re making the residents lives hell? How does this company even exist with this attitude and behavior. Shame on them. These people have no heart and are irresponsible. Avoid moving here at any cost. You will definitely find a better place to live than this dump called Osprey Apartments managed by the most heartless, irresponsible, rude company Avenue5
