I am a renter for this company. They have unexperienced employees that work for them. I have asked to have 4 different things fixed in the home at 4 different times. They have to come back at least 2-3 times for everything that I have asked to have fixed. The last time I made sure I was home to inspect before they left to make sure it didn't happen again. He left without inspection and didn't fix the issue. I called to complain to the owner of TCA. Mr. Curray stated that he would have someone out the next day. Got a text earlier this morning that it would not be completed due to someone testing positive for covid and that everyone had to quarantined. Why is there a Currayy Van across the street and the gentleman driving is not wearing a mask and not quarantined. I will not renew my lease and will never rent from TCA again. Just say you dont want to fix it. Whats terrible is the home owner has no clue on who is poorly managing his home.
I had leased a property from TCA Property Management Company a while ago, and am very happy now because the house owner just switched to another management company.nTCA is just a rip off! My grandkid accidentally dropped some napkins in the toilet and got it stuck. I was aware of the tenant's responsibilities due to the negligence. I called TCA. They sent their own maintenance tech to come over; but instead of installing the new toilet that would be easier, with the average cost just less than $300 (labor & materials) in Home Depot or Lowe's, TCA later billed me $375 just for getting the napkins out of the toilet. I still used the same old toilet afterwards.nThen I found out later about TCA besides being a property management company, they are also a home improvement company. It explains everything to me now!

This review is specifically for Holly Circle Townhouses under TCA. I know nothing about the rest of the company.nnI lived in one of the 1000 sq. ft. townhouses for ~18 months at $900/month (rent has since gone up but not by much). Patrick McGrady the owner was always easy to talk to, as was Debbie at the front desk and the maintenance men I met (several of whom were relatives of Patrick. it's a family business). I could tell that Patrick cared about making Aberdeen a nicer place to live (he's the mayor). Sometimes maintenance requests I put in would fall by the wayside, but this has happened to me at much more expensive apartments too, and if I asked again they were nice about it and came within a few hours. We did not pay anything out of pocket when we had ants, they offered to clean our floors after a sewer leak (another tenant flushed kitty litter!), and they were always happy to take care of other problems. They really bent over backwards for us. It's because of this that I felt I got my money's worth. More rental companies should act like this toward renters.nnThe properties themselves, however, are old and some of them were not well taken care of by previous tenants, but mine did meet my standard of cleanliness after I moved in. I first saw it while the maintenance team was cleaning up from a previous tenant, so when I moved in I could tell how hard they worked to clean it up. But if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, make sure you tell the staff this when you are looking for a place to live, as most of their properties are near the railroad or major roads. We left because of the railroad noise, as I am a light sleeper.nnIf you want a place that's cheap but not the bottom of the barrel, and noise doesn't bother you, I would highly recommend Holly Circle Townhouses.
