I loved this museum so much! It's quirky, interesting, and beautiful... To make things better the entrance fee and giftshop are affordable. This is a 3-floor medium size museum can easily be done in 1 hour, but you will be missing out... I spent 3 hours there and had a great time.nInsiders tip: the basement bathroom lobby is very funny!

Cool as hell. Eclectic as you need it to be. The holocaust exhibit punched me in heart. This museum is powerful and weird. You won't find a more interesting combination in Baltimore. Staff is super helpful. Mask protocol is in place and done well.

We absolutely love this place. It is so unique and such a fun way to spend a day in Baltimore. If you are in town, or even a local looking for something fun to do, this is a MUST DO in Baltimore! The staff is so friendly and AVAM is dedicated to preserving self-taught artists. How cool!

Amazing, quirky, interesting museum! You'll see incredibly unique works of art that tell interesting stories. I would advise that you check the exhibits prior to attending if you're bringing young children because sometimes the content of the exhibits is questionable for young ones. But otherwise, it's amazing. The gift shop is awesome too. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Baltimore!

I've toured the American Visionary Art Museum before and could see some of the additions. We were there for a wedding reception, which was handled superbly. The view of Federal Hill provided the background as the couple recited their vows. Very memorable.
