The last passenger railroad service pulled out of Tifton in the 1970s, but the era of the railroads lives on thanks to the Tifton Terminal Railway Museum.nnIt occupies the former passenger depot of the Atlantic Coast Line, and aims to preserve the heritage that led to the very foundation of Tifton to begin with.nnA wood-built caboose passenger engine stands proudly outside, along with the Southern Railway’s Pullman sleeper called the Flint River.nnWithin the same structure as the museum, visitors will also find the Atlantic Coastline Artists Station, a small gallery space featuring the work of both professional and amateur southern Georgia artists.

Our tour guide Larry made this museum an excellent experience for the whole family, and even took us next door to the veterans museum. He was so informative and friendly. He even kept the attention of my 4 year-old son.

One of the best tours I have ever had and some of the most informative displays I've seen. A must see if you love trains.
