The guards in the jail are so terrible... Anything you ask for they say they will get it and never get back to you the only good Co is Officer Steely, He treated me with care and gave me anything I needed happily, the other guards are hateful and don't seem to want to be at work. Also Jail so overcrowded with people with no bonds and no court dates smh. Should be Illegal.

i called about my concerns with the kendrick johnson case, and to speak with the head sheriff, chris ryan... i think is his name... to tell them about how disrespectful they are being towards the case, the family and not reopening the case because they have evidence they never tested and never will because they are trying to cover something up. but when i called, they immediately hung up on me when i mentioned kendrick’s name.

Im an insurance agent in Kentucky & had to call the Lowndes County Sheriff's department for a police report for my client. I spoke with BETTY. BETTY went above & beyond to help me help my client. She searched by name, date & even all calls on that day...4 YEARS AGO!!! BETTY was very pleasant to speak with & had good conversation while helping me. If you have to call the Lowndes County Sheriff's department, I hope you're as fortunate as I was & get to speak with BETTY.nIf not, be sure to ask forBETTY. She is the best!!!
