After raising my sons to be respectful of authority we are disgusted how my youngest son was treated after his first accident. It was a single vehicle accident and he walked away, thank God; but, how he was treated is unacceptable. Last night I saw the copy of the officers body cam that my son requested for his upcoming court case and what I saw was absolutely appalling. My son was without a doubt in shock, in pain, scared to death, and nothing but respectful to the officers (remember I am watching and listening to the body cam!). The officer was aggressive, disrespectful, and generally picking a fight!!! My son never responded with anything other than good behavior; which honestly I don't know that I could say I would have done after being treated that way, especially with all the adrenaline after an accident.nnI will be filling a complaint with the police department and am considering going to the news. People should not be mistreated by the police especially when not provoked!nnAs a family, in the past, we have had nothing but the highest regard for police officers; but, honestly we have had very little interaction with them. We value their service and sacrifice. I truly hope this is not the norm. but these two officers have definitely tainted my families views of the trust we once had for the police department.

I got a speeding ticket few years back, the officer was nice told me my right to argue or ask to have the speed recheck,but I know I was speeding, so I had no right to argue. This past month I needed a certified copy of my ticket and the payment I made back then. The officer at the fort desk was very nice and helpful, I told her I was not sure of the name of the document I needed but I told her what I needed it for and she new right away what it was, it did not took long for her to work on it and certified the document, it took about 15-20 min. I had to do the same at the Gainesville office for that city, they were rood and took 2 weeks to get what the Jefferson office gave me in 20 min, defensively very attentive and nice officers.

This is the sorriest excuse for Police Department ever . It’s so back woods. One word comes to mind... Horrible.. cops are suppose to protect and serve the people. The cops I have dealt with from here I would not trust my life in their hands.
