First day of school. So far so good! Teachers seem dedicated, the PTA staff seems very active. Great 1st impression!

As a student that went to Windy Ridge her entire life, I can say that Mrs.Johnson was by far the best principal there. Mrs. Johnson was a reasonable principal who allowed students to wear headphones in the hallway and use their phones out in the hallway. She even made sure the teachers were in check. There was not one day I didn't see her not smile. She was so nice to the children and to the staff. She even allowed arizona iced tea's to be sold at lunch for one dollar. Mrs. Webly came, an she was a good principal too. She just took away the Arizona's, which the students were not happy about. She was a good principal. This school was a good school. I have one bad review about one teacher but she left after my 5th grade year.

LOVE Windy Ridge. Amazing, hard working, dedicated teachers. Front staff is very friendly and attentive! Principal is WONDERFUL!

Frustrating experience for my ESE student.nWe have a hard time communicating with teachers to make resolutions for issues that are school related. We moved and changed phone numbers and are still getting our mailed sent to old address and missing important calls because they still use the old number. But Ms. Ng is awesome!

First off, the good: This school seems to be a very good place for my physically disabled son, who seems to be learning a lot there and the staff seem to be very nice. However, there are some bad things about this school: 1) There seems to be a lack of communication between the teachers and the administrators. My son started school yesterday and when they tried to feed him breakfast there at the school, he wouldn't eat, so they called me and I told them that he ate before he got on the bus. Today was the same thing: my son ate at home before getting on the bus, he arrived at school and barely ate, school called me because he wouldn't eat there (a simple note in his file that he eats at home would be the best solution to this problem). Yesterday and today when my son came home on the bus, his bag was left completely open (because of his physical disability, he cannot zip or unzip the bag himself). Today, it appears that my son's spare outfit (which was in his bag) has been stolen, plus he was sent home in soiled clothes. I've searched his wheelchair and his bag for the missing outfit and the only conclusion is that it was taken at school, plus I have called the school and am waiting on a call back. I think this school, while good for physically disabled children such as my son, would be able to be a whole lot better if they improved on their lack of communication and documenting things, such as if a parent tells the teacher or another school administrator that their kid eats before getting on the bus, they would improve by a lot! EDIT: I got the situation with my son's missing clothes straightened out, but again, I think that this school would do much better with better communication amongst teachers and staff
