AK Explorations (01/12/2020)
We went to explore the trains. And was told it was private property and had to leave by a very rude man in a white truck. Must not be open to public. There was no no trespassing signs or any signs at all. We drove 3 plus hours and for what? It is ok we salvaged our Road Trip by going to the Military Museum (Awesome Guys) and NASA Fuel Tank. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. NOT A MUSEUM

They’re really working hard to keep history. Knowledgeable folks. Very interesting!

This museum is not a building like most people think of when you say museum. This museum is the set of actual train cars sitting in an industrial yard. With that being said, I walked away very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The gentleman that gave the tour was extremely knowledgable and seemed to really enjoy sharing his knowledge about trains and the history.nnThe museum includes a caboose, a sleeper car, a postal car, an old engine and a few more cars if I recall correctly. You get to walk through most of them and it really makes you feel like you are walking through a piece of history - all the while narrated with excellent information and my questions answered.nnCall before you go (you can find the number on their website). I highly recommend this if you find trains fascinating. One other note - you will have to climb up into the cars so it does require the ability to pull yourself up while holding onto a handle. Wear rubber soled shoes and comfortable clothes.

Completely derailed my emotions.

Does not look like it was open anymore the day I went. Cool from the outside though.
