Hagan Ace Hardware

Walked in to this store looking for lawn equipment. I had no idea it was a miniature bass pro shop. I will definitely go back for all my fishing needs. It's just convenient to my house. I did get the tools I needed and also scouted out my potential next kayak. The staff members I did speak to were knowledgeable and eager to help. I was impressed.

I usually do not have an issue at that location but today I felt like I was being harassed and I was made to feel like I was a thief. I go into this particular store and drop at least $200 every time I go. I was trying to find specific small washers and grommets for a project and I was unsure of what to buy. And I was constantly harassed until finally one of the employees came up to me and pretty much accused me of being suspicious. I haven't been treated that way since I was a teenager I'm a full grown 36-year-old man and like I said I drop at least $200 every time I walk in within the last 2 months. I understand that I was taking a long time to find what I needed but I didn't know there was a time limit. I'm pretty sure the owner of that store would have wanted me to stay there as long as I needed to. My experience today Disturbed me so much that I stopped shopping I paid for what I had in the buggy and in my hands and I left and went to home Depot. My past experiences at that store have been good the employees at that time were concerned that I could not find a product that I was looking for and have since attempted to stock the shelves with what I needed. Customers appreciate things like that more than you know.

Had an absolutely amazing experience. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This location has a large amount of fishing supplies which I found great. Every time I go in they have something new and almost always have a good sale. The store is perhaps the cleanest I have ever walked into. Great experience and made shopping a pleasure. The cashier, Gracie is absolutely amazing did her job quickly and had a great attitude. Love seeing people who love their job!

I just had a less than positive experience at Ace Hardware in Greencove. I was sold a defective pump switch. I returned with the pump switch and receipt three days later minus the packaging. Cindy the manager whom I never saw, apparently did not approve my store credit or exchange even with the receipt, so I had to drive 30 minutes back to my house get the original packaging which is completely worthless to them anyway it’s not like they can sell a defective part over again and bring it back to the store at which point they did the return. I was clearly unhappy and Cindy failed to appear or even apologize for my inconvenience. She could’ve very easily approved the exchange while I was there the first time and chose not to. The store seemed very unhappy with a very simple $29 return on a clearly defective part. Somehow I think they should’ve returned it apologized the first time and made a happy customer. So Ace, was the bad review really worth $29?

I always get GREAT customer service and friendly interaction when I go to Ace! Yes, it's a little more expensive than other hardware stores, but the quality of the products and the amazing customer service truly makes up for the extra couple of bucks! Thank you, Ace!
