Wow! I am so grateful to Caring for Creatures. I couldn't have imagined a more serene, beautiful, or healthy environment for rescue animals. Our new cat had been living there for a year. When we met her, she was so calm and easygoing, and even her transition into our home went smoothly. We believe her sweet, gentle temperament must have flourished in the sanctuary because the place is true to its name: a calm, safe haven for homeless cats and dogs. Truly amazing! I can't recommend the place highly enough.

I am not sure how anyone could give CFC less than a stellar review. If I was a homeless cat or dog then this is where I would want to end up. Each animal matters and they are well cared for. Wonderful sanctuary. Thank you CFC for all you do for our animals.

Wonderful no kill rescue that truly cares about pets and gives them lifelong care. Go visit and adopt a pet today!!!! Remember, adopt don't shop.

It was distressing to visit here. It is not a 'sanctuary', and is in truth a rescue/primarily outdoor shelter. They will take dogs back after an adoption and keep them if they aren't adopted, but most -all- rescues do that as well. I was distraught when I visited, as I expected a sanctuary. It is set on the owner's land with their house, it is beautiful acreage. But the dogs don't get to run or explore it. There is a small fenced area for off leash. The dogs are penned outside and there is a building with indoor pens. The smell of ammonia being unbearable inside. I couldn't breathe and had to exit, and could only think how the dogs were suffering with their keen ability to smell. They were all barking fiercely when we came in, and screaming for help/to get out.nAll the dogs outside were barking like crazy, in the same manner they would in a shelter. They wanted out of their pens. They were not happy or free, as if at a sanctuary. Many had been there for years. Who keeps a dog penned for years?? Not a rescue! And certainly not a sanctuary. I was told many will not leave. Why not? Dogs need homes to heal, not pens. They are highly intelligent, sentient. How would you feel if someone gave up on you and penned you for Life? This is a rescue/shelter. One that I hope evolves to do better and get the dogs into good homes. It is not a 'sanctuary'. And I hope they are not keeping the dogs so the owner can keep their beautiful land/home by having the dog 'rescue' there.
