K C Washerette

Excellent place to wash clothes. Machines are well maintained and there are many front loading washers. Dryers are large and have good heat. Place is kept clean by staff. There is a diner next to it that is open Tuesdays through Saturdays 8 am to 2 pm. Also a small convenience store. Coffee shop is there too but it has inconsistent hours. KC Washerette is open daily at 5:30 am, closing at 7 pm with last wash at 6 pm.n(Annie's Burgers is only a few yards away.)

Place is super rude! Guy has a huge chip on his shoulder and yelled at several costumers including me well I was doing my laundry.

I will say 5 stars on their hygiene as you can tell they go above and beyond in their attempts to navigate COVID-19 as they require a hand wash PRIOR to touching everything and the front desk has a system where you aren’t touching the money hand to hand. They are very clean and well kept up. BUT Just a heads up, in order to use this service you will need to purchase a microchip-card in order to use any of the machines on the property which costs $4, and then you may load the card from there (no this $4 doesn’t go on the card for use you start at zero). I guess if you are a tourist and planning to be spending a lot on frivolous things anyway this isn’t a big deal but if you are trying to save anything from having to spend anywhere from $2.50-$11 per load and .25-.50 cents per 4-5 minutes of drying time (Obviously this depends on how much laundry and where you are at), then this is a really good thing to know before hand!n*if you don’t live near the washerette then please know you WILL NOT be able to use the counters at all to fold the laundry. They require you leave to fold so if you like to fold to keep the wrinkles away then plan accordingly bc you can’t use their folding spaces as of now with COVID happening.
