Shell Car Wash

I took my car into the shell car wash after putting gas ,, While in the car wash I heard a thud sound come from the windshield area ...I did not notice a problem for about three days until I saw the crack on the windshield coming from the top heading down ..nI took my car to the gas station and I told the worker lady what had happened ,,she said she would review the camera footage and let me know if they would cover the damage that I know happened when the spinning washer arm came in contact with the front windshield ..That’s when I heard the cracking noise that had a thud sound .. About ten minutes later the worker lady came out from the office and asked me if I was eating in my car while it was being washed and I said yes ..She then said Why did I wait six days from the receipt date I had showing the cost of the premium car wash and gas..She said the owner does not want to cover the repair to windshield ..close to 300 dollars ..The lady said go next door to fix it and she called the shop but said we won’t pay because you took six days before you came in with the report to the Shell gas station and car wash on Kilauea avenue in Hilo town .. I fixed the windshield with my own money and now think I should have taken the owner of the gas station to small claims court to get my windshield repair money back from this gas station that has got away with breaking my windshield ..One reason I took 6 Days to return with car and receipt is because I did not see the crack until three days later and that was a Friday ,,so I waited till Monday and that was six days ..The Kilauea shell car wash did nothing to help me with the cost of repair even when I said let’s go half on the repair 150 each ..The Same Worker lady said no ,,nyour on your own ..As a senior citizen living on a fixed income I swear the above review to be 100 % truthful...If you don’t want to pay for a new windshield for your car ,,BEWARE of the Kilauea car wash and gas station .. They won’t fix and pay for damages ..Very disappointed with this Hilo gas station and I will never ever go back for a car wash at Kilauea gas station ..BEWARE !!!
