Wildwood Recreation Site

Great outdoor picnic and easy hike spot on a river. Very accessible with paved trails, wheelchair friendly picnic spots, parking, and bathrooms. Many benches for resting & enjoying the natural beauty. Educational signage with local tribal customs & stories, river ecosystems info, 3D map of Mt Hood, river viewing station with windows of a cross section view into the river/stream bed, etc. Picnic spots are well spaced & off the trail slightly with sectioned off areas that include a bbq, fire pit, and picnic table. Well worth the stop and $5 day use fee!

Wonderful place to let little ones run free. Great trails, lots to see and a playground to top it off.

We like this site, it is well maintained and has many trails and great access to the river. The drawback is the charge/pass requirement but it does limit the crowds and allows for it to be well maintained.

What a gem! Never knew this was here. Great place for a picnic and exploring with the kids.

It’s pretty and has some nice chill walks, but I don’t get why there is a charge to go there. For the cost, especially when there are so many other good hike spots on Mt. Hood, I would not return.
