This is one of the most beautiful parks to Spokane and the pacific northwest. This is a park and not a national or state park. The city truly cares about this park, from the rose gardens to the Japanese gardens with fish in the pond. You find something for someone of all ages. Lots of walking and running area, sports courts, play area, ponds with fish, gardens of various types. Could spend family time there or make it a perfect end to a date night
I probably wood have rated it higher put iv been there lots of times in my life time here. But it is a very nice park it always has been. I guess if you where not from here you wood think much more of it. It really is a beautiful place. If you never been there in the summer time it really gives a better feel to it. You will find that the people most of the time are friendly and outgoing some of the birds might chase the children if you get to friendly with them. Some of the older people to. But even that is fun most of the time. Overall my rating is probably a little low being this is where I grew up.
The park itself is beautiful! Especially in spring and summer time. But the people there... Smoking and swearing at the kids playground. Some look like drug addicts. You have to watch your kids closely non stop. Also watch your stuff. I never feel safe there even during the day time. It shouldn't be like this but there is nothing we can do!
We love this place! great big area to walk where you are not too close to people, the Japanese garden is closed this time of the year it seems like. Maybe the fish pond is still frozen, I'm not sure. They were re-planting roses in the Rose garden area and topping them off with soil. I can't wait to come in the spring
Manito Park is the premier Spokane Park. Many unique sites and things to see. Rose garden, Japanese garden and Duck and Goose Pond among them. Of course picnics and family games and activities ..
