I took my daughter in March of 2021 and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. They do a great job of honoring the native communities of Utah. I enjoyed learning their history very much. It's a relatively short tour through the museum. (About 45 min to an hour) I think this benefited my daughter not getting bored. The dinosaurs were definitely her favorite part! Definitely recommend for a quick trip for learning!
This museum has some really unique attractions that I enjoyed a lot! There is a section that teaches a lot about biology and the diversity of life with an interactive tree of life map with taxonomies and everything. I was so fascinated with it!! Learning about dinosaurs in the Antarctic in what looks like a new exhibit was also lots of fun. There were interactive games throughout. The experience was overall both educational and entertaining.
Great place to visit during the pandemic. Never very busy. All employees wearing masks properly and setting a good example. Social distancing is encouraged along with styluses being provided to interact with exhibits.nnThe new Antarctic Dinosaurs exhibit is very neat and worth checking out while it's here. Great views from the upstairs terrace as well. Probably one of the best urban views in Utah.
So many cool exhibits and a great place to let your little one or “little one” at heart roam around and see all the neat things that Utah has to offer. Clearly the dinosaurs are pretty amazing but all of the different levels have fun experiences your family will love. If you are an employee or student of the University of Utah you get in for free. It’s a pretty sweet deal since the museum can get pretty expensive depending on how many people are in your group. While there we got to go into the archives which was pretty amazing. I’ll definitely be back.
This is such a good experience. There is so much to learn and see. I also didn’t feel like any activity’s were closed due to social distancing. They instead gave us styluses to touch the screens and push buttons. They found great ways to keep activities open. We go every year and still spend at least three hours there. Love it ever time! Would recommend to any one.
