Had my vehicle stolen but because the keys had been stolen as well and the ignition wasnt punched they didnt seem to care. Left a note for me to move my vehicle it's in a ditch. Really it was stolen and they wanted ME to retrieve it.? Thanks for your help.

My ID was compromised, I went to Sheriff dept. The did not do anything! Did not write a fraud report. very frustrated

They spent over an hour helping to free a cat from my cars engine.

It’s well known that we have one of the worst Sherrif’s departments in Nevada. Police officers are not trained properly and it has gone unchecked for years. Some of the veteran officers have even gone decades without updated training and it shows in their behavior when handling even the most routine calls/stops. Be careful to call them unless it is a life or death situation and you know your rights and/or have the ability to obtain a lawyer.

Grew up in Fernley, good sherifs keep the place as decent as they can. A lot of trash has moved in over the years trying to do what they can to cause trouble like record videos of people working while refusing to communicate and also carrying a gun, then they try to make the police out to be bad. But I'd say they deal with these scum bags pretty well and my family and I feel safe in our community.
