Tucumcari Railroad Museum

Very nice, small, train museum. Wish I could volunteer to help finish some of the projects. Nice man (sorry I forgot your name) showed us around and knew all the local history of the trains. I'd visit again.

Museum closed multiple times when several Tourists wanted to visit. Main Street lady let me in this afternoon to look at part of the displays. Nice displays but way too bad that they are closed most of the time. I considering relocation but not made to feel very welcome by such tactics. Found all four museums in town not open. Also found that Chamber of Commerce not open several times I tried to go there too.

It appears that the museum is only open 6 months of the year but the curator graciously let us in to look around! It is very cool even with being a work in progress.nnMay-Octobern12 pm-5pmnThursday-Sunday

Very nice museum. Our host, Mike, was very interesting to talk with. Well worth a visit.

This place was so cool, they had bits and pieces from railroad history. Authentic time tables, cool displays explaining different aspects rail industry. Definitely a good stop for the train buff.
