New Mexico Route 66 Museum

This museum is one of a kind . They had a volunteer come in because they are only open a few days a week because of Covid. We had made this stop a overnight stop just to see the museum and were unaware of the Covid hours. The gentleman who opened the museum was very nice and knowledgeable and gave us the VIP tour. It’s a must see but check the hours during the virus.

Great selection of Route 66 memorabilia, vintage vehicles and photos from along the Mother Road. It's a $3 donation for entry and it goes directly into upkeep of the museum.

Fun spot right on route 66. Lots of history.

Very friendly people here in Tucumcari. The museum is very cosy and nice. The lady that was working there welcomed us with such genuine pleasure for having us there. Only 3$, worth it.
