The LJ police department have always been courteous and professional to me and my family. My kids love to stop and talk with them. My advice is to follow the law and have respect for others.

I called because my mom received msg from law enforcement that there were warrants on her former boardernShe's moved from the area and I wanted her name removed from his list of contactsnThe person I spoke with acted like I was wasting his time.

The La Junta Police Department, in the main, consists of abusive, threatening people. If you want to live in a town with a reputable Police Department, do not live in La Junta.

Most of the city police officers are friendly however I have seen them do illegal things driving before they would pull a citizen over for two faced on that but otherwise they are good
