Visited today and donated my brothers army dress uniform. All branches represented and well organized.
If you are a veteran? You have to check out this little museum on the VA property.
It's worth a look. Smaller. Very informative staff. If your ever at the Dayton VA definitely spend a few extra minutes a pay them a visit.nnWow, so flash ahead a few years and....yes, my donated items are still there! Awesome. Sadly, they will be moving. I suppose they need more space, the building is old and in need of renovation. I heard they will relocate to Fairborn, Ohio, but where, I don't know.nnThis historical display of mostly unwanted items by the Miami Valley Military History Museum needs a proper long term site to honor and portray the average, true every day soldiers of the past, present and future, with adequate space. I suggested the Dayton Air Force Museum....and they cringed.nnSo, issues there. I am proud to have items over at the Peach Building at the Dayton VA.
A nice museum, I will go back. They have a great amount of things displayed. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and staff that take care of it.
Great place to see military items from the civil war to modern uniforms. This museum is packed from floor to ceiling. There are knowledgeable volunteers to answer questions.
