We have arrived at the most exciting destination! I have been looking forward to this museum for weeks. There are approximately 3,450 pencil sharpeners.nI LOVED #2 pencils as a child. I would get so excited to get a quarter so I could buy a new collectible pencil. Sharpeners were very important.
Let me get to the point—this place is the No. 1 way to pay homage to those cranky devices that keep your No. 2 working. I don't know what lead us here, but I can't erase the memory now. It may look sketchy, but I think you'll find out why this place is such a draw.
A quirky little place right next to the visitor center (it’s free). I had no idea there was so much to know about pencil sharpeners.nnThe best part occurs after the visit, when you post pictures on social media and your friends reply with, “looking sharp,” “what’s the point,” and “get the lead out.”
The small roadside attraction is charming, well-kept, and unique. It is clearly a labor of love and greatly appreciated by those who get a smile just by visiting.
It was so quaint! The pencil sharpeners were adorable! Tiny but fascinating.
